There is something very special about getting married in church; there are some things about a church wedding that you just can’t get anywhere else. Marriage is one of, if not the, biggest days of your life, when you and your partner will make life long promises to each other. Making those promises in front of God adds a spiritual dimension to your marriage. The ceremony includes God and looks to him for help and guidance.
Every year dozens of couples choose to be married in St Margaret's Church. It is a truly beautiful space with a very special atmosphere and presence; added to which it has a wonderful organ which adds that extra dimension. There is also plenty of space and pleasant backgrounds - in side and out - for those all important wedding photographs.
In order to be married in any Parish Church in England you have, by law, to meet certain requirements – which concern factors such as, your resident status in the UK, where you live, your connection to the parish etc. There are also considerations which are relevant to those who have been married before.
If you are considering being married at St Margaret's your first step is to visit us on any Monday evening (except Bank Holidays) between 6:30pm and 7:00pm, and speak with a member of the clergy.
