Groups

Within the overall St Margaret's church family we have a number of different groups which use the church's facilities.
Tots & Toddlers
Tots and Toddlers was set up in around 2012 and is open to all pre-school children, as long as they are accompanied by an adult. The sessions are very informal, and children are encouraged to play together with the many toys we have and to enjoy snacks and drinks.
It is also a great opportunity for mums, dads, grandparents, carers etc. to have chat over a cup of coffee. There are no fees for the sessions, but donations towards the refreshments etc. are very welcome.
All are welcome to come along and join in, but each child's parent/guardian must stay and supervise their child(ren) for the duration of the session.

Acorns
During the first half of the 10:00 am Sunday Parish Mass, there is an activity group for children which takes place in the Lady Chapel. Parents of pre-school age children are very welcome to accompany their children. The children learn about the Christian faith through play, stories and craft activities. The Acorns' class returns to the main body of the church to enable them to receive a blessing and their parents to receive communion. At the back of the church there is an area which has books, colouring sheets, puzzles and toys to help keep younger children occupied.
At the end of the service the children share with the rest of the congregation what they have been doing and say a prayer they have written or sing a song etc.
